Hi Will, loving your tuition, loving my trading and really feel I'm making great progress. Not just on where to enter and where to exit, but your whole mentoring on risk management and patience has been invaluable. It has been a long road for me to get here and while I have more of a journey ahead, I know I will get there and I have set myself ambitious and challenging goals, but one step at a time.
Refers to Medley Global Advisors, a market consultancy that maintains close contacts with central bank and government officials around the world. Their reports can frequently move the currency market as they purport to have inside information from policy makers. The accuracy of the reports has fluctuated over time, but the market still pays attention to them in the short-run.

Forex alerts or signals are delivered in an assortment of ways. User generated alerts can be created to ‘pop up’ via simple broker trading platform tools, or more complex 3rd party signal providers can send traders alerts via SMS, email or direct messages. Whatever the mechanism the aim is the same, to trigger trades as soon as certain criteria are met.

In addition, they offer two premium services which provide access to their ‘Strike 3.0’ product.  You have the option of Advanced or Titanium plans, at US$49* or US$97* per month respectively. In addition to the training aspect, these plans offer more in-depth trading support including alerts and software.  The more expensive plan also includes access to a live trading room and calls, as well as advanced training modules.
The "premium" (PREM) or "spread" is the difference between the stock index future fair value and the actual index level. As the derivative is based on the index, the two should normally have a very close relationship. If there is a sufficiently large difference the arbitraging program will attempt to buy the relatively cheap level (whether that is the basket of stocks which make up the index or the index future) and sell the relatively expensive product, making money from the price discrepancy. The fair value calculation takes into account the time to expiration of the future contract, the dividends received from holding all the stocks, and the interest cost of buying the stocks.[7]
In French, the currency is also called le dollar; Canadian French slang terms include piastre or piasse (the original word used in 18th-century French to translate "dollar") and huard (equivalent to "loonie", since huard is French for "loon," the bird appearing on the coin). The French pronunciation of cent (pronounced similarly to English as /sɛnt/ or /sɛn/, not like the word for hundred, /sɑ̃/ or /sã/)[11] is generally used for the subdivision; sou is another, informal, term for 1¢. 25¢ coins in Quebec French are often called trente sous ("thirty cents") because of a series of changes in terminology, currencies, and exchange rates. After the British conquest of Canada in 1760, French coins gradually went out of use, and sou became a nickname for the halfpenny, which was similar in value to the French sou. Spanish dollars and U.S. dollars were also in use, and from 1841 to 1858, the exchange rate was fixed at $4 = £1 (or 400¢ = 240d). This made 25¢ equal to 15d, or 30 halfpence (trente sous). After decimalization and the withdrawal of halfpence coins, the nickname sou began to be used for the 1¢ coin, but the idiom trente sous for 25¢ endured.[12]
A margin call occurs when the amount of margin in an account falls to a pre-determined level requiring the account to be replenished. For example, if a broker states that a margin call happens when your losses exceed 50% of your initial investment and you invested $1,000 initially, then a margin call happens when your account balance drops below $500. Traders can pare positions or add fresh margin to prevent margin calls. If a trader does not promptly increase the margin held in an account following a margin call, the broker usually has the right to liquidate the traders positions to protect it from further losses. (The remaining balance in your account is returned to you.) Brokers put margin calls in place in order to protect themselves from clients not being able to pay them back when their clients' losses exceed their initial investments from using leverage.
Automatic trading software can be used to trade a range of markets, including Forex, stocks, commodities, cryptocurrencies and more. The software simply analyses the market, and opens a trade so you don't need to carry it out manually. In a nutshell, with automated software you can turn on your trading terminal, activate the program and then walk away while the software trades for you.
Set your limits in advance: Before embarking on any Forex trade, you should have defined the price at which you'll open the trade, the price at which you will close it and take your profits, and the price at which you will close it, should the market turn unexpectedly, thereby cutting your losses. Then, once you have set those limits, it's important to stick with them!
Use a stop loss: A stop loss is tool that traders use to limit their potential losses. Simply put, it is the price level at which you will close a trade that isn't moving in your favour, thereby preventing any further losses as the market continues to move in that direction. You can also use a stop loss to conserve any profits you might have already made - the tool to achieve this is known as a 'trailing' stop loss, which follows the direction of the market.
Coins are produced by the Royal Canadian Mint's facilities in Winnipeg, Manitoba, and Ottawa, Ontario, in denominations of 5¢ (nickel), 10¢ (dime), 25¢ (quarter), 50¢ (50¢ piece) (though the 50¢ piece is no longer distributed to banks and is only available directly from the mint, therefore seeing very little circulation), $1 (loonie), and $2 (toonie). The last 1¢ coin (penny) to be minted in Canada was struck on May 4, 2012,[13] and distribution of the penny ceased on February 4, 2013.[14] Ever since, the price for a cash transaction is rounded to the nearest five cents. The penny continues to be legal tender, although they are only accepted as payment and not given back as change.

^ The total sum is 200% because each currency trade always involves a currency pair; one currency is sold (e.g. US$) and another bought (€). Therefore each trade is counted twice, once under the sold currency ($) and once under the bought currency (€). The percentages above are the percent of trades involving that currency regardless of whether it is bought or sold, e.g. the U.S. Dollar is bought or sold in 88% of all trades, whereas the Euro is bought or sold 32% of the time.
As proof that a successful life in forex fraud doesn’t require any stellar diploma from a university or years of proven experience, Russell Cline began his meteoric career as a house painter in Baker City, Oregon. Through a dashing, confident attitude to life in general and the audacity provided by his utter lack of knowledge or understanding of the forex market, he was able to lie persuasively by offering his clients risk-free managed accounts facilitated by his sophisticated trading techniques. After netting around $27 million from 600 clients between 1998 and 2002, Mr. Cline declared that he had lost 97% of the funds, blaming his failure on faulty but honest trading errors. He requested additional funds to continue his rising career as a forex fund manager. To cut a long story short, it was eventually discovered that he had spent all the client funds on private jets, real estate, boats, luxury cars and pornography. He was sentenced to 8 years and 1 month in prison and was ordered to pay $14.9 million in restitution to clients.
However, it does have a single advantage – the Depth of Market interface. While MetaTrader 4 does have this feature, the Ninja Trader’s solution is far more sophisticated and useful. But that doesn’t outweigh the overall clumsiness of the terminal and downright bad compatibility – there is no Wine support for Ninja Trader and no Linux version in sight.
It’s worth bearing in mind that your choice of broker can restrict the tools available to you. Free day trading software may seem like a no brainer to start with, but if it comes with the sacrifice of technical tools that could enhance trade decisions then it may cost you in the long run. Remember the best day trading software for forex may not cut the mustard when you use it for stocks, so do your research and consider all the factors outlined above. Most importantly, you wouldn’t buy a car without test driving it first, and your day trading software shouldn’t be any different.
Bitcoin (BTC) is offered for trading on the platforms of eToro, FBS Markets, Instaforex, AvaTrade and Plus500 as the BTC/USD pairing (visit >> Best Bitcoin Forex Brokers List). The trading of Bitcoin on forex platforms no doubt has introduced a new way to own and sell Bitcoin without having to go through the Bitcoin exchanges. Most people who trade Bitcoin on the exchanges do so on a speculative basis; buying Bitcoin at a lower price while aiming to sell it off at a higher price. With forex brokers, you can make money from rising or falling prices of Bitcoin. It all depends on what side of the trade you are on relative to the desired price movement.

During the most active period of the White Pines Trust Corporation and its associated Pinnacle Capital Fund, Mr. Matthews claimed an eight-year cumulative return of 591%, while guaranteeing that 75% of customer deposits are protected from loss each month by the use of various complicated, but false, methods, as eventually confessed by Mr. Matthews himself. Eventually, when he was deprived of his island and other luxurious possessions in order to repay his defrauded customers some $14.8 million, much of which was of course unrecoverable, having been spent or squandered during the heyday of his once great career.
Forex traders constantly use candlestick chart patterns for day trading to foretell potential price moves on the chart. Forex candlesticks help them guess where the price will go and they buy or sell currency pairs based on what the pattern is telling them. Therefore, you should also spare the time to examine the best candlestick patterns for intraday trading if you want to be a successful Forex trader.
Set realistic trading goals: It's important to be realistic with your trading expectations, as this will help you assess the best times to open and close trades. Many new Forex traders have very high expectations about their potential profits, and this causes them to trade very aggressively, with large sums of money and fast decisions. Again, start small to test your knowledge and skills, and as you start to reliably achieve the results you want, you can set bigger goals.
However, you must bear in mind that there are much more terminologies to learn than the few explained here. So, you will need to contact a forex trading expert, read books, or browse the internet for more information on the various terminologies used in forex trading. Examples of highly recommended books on forex trading include “Trade What You See” (by Larry Pesavento and Leslie Jouflas) and “The Secrets of Economic Indicators” (by Bernard Baumohl).

Stop loss – a type of order that is placed relative to an already placed order that says if the position starts to lose “x” amount of value, “stop” the entire position. If you have a buy order for Bitcoin and have a 20% stop loss, you have an order type that if your position loses anymore than 19.99% value, it will close out. This is good protection against potential price swings.
More sophisticated charting software generally offers some support for traders using Elliot Wave Theory to analyze exchange rate movements that would include calculating Fibonacci retracement and projection levels. Additional advanced forex charting software features might include: more advanced line-drawing options that include channels and Gann lines, computing and displaying Pivot Points, as well as providing a wider range of increasingly-complex technical indicators.
Trading currencies can be lucrative, however it's not surprising that it comes with a heavy risk warning. The majority of retail traders - as high as 80% - will lose money. Currency trading is highly speculative and unpredictable, and due to leveraged trades a position may shift from winning to losing quickly despite only a small change in price. Organisations such as the Financial Conduct Authority in the UK and ECSMA in Europe have raised concerns and are in the process of introducing more legislation to protect traders, but for now it's important to research carefully before committing to a risky trade. Forex hedging: Hedging is a risk management technique where a trader can offset potential losses by taking opposite positions in the market. In Forex, this can be done by taking two opposite positions on the same currency pair (e.g. by opening a long trade and a short trade on the GBP/USD currency pair), or by taking opposite positions on two correlated currencies.

Canadian regulatory authorities have a highly descriptive set of guidelines that determine broker regulation, which is amended according to new findings and market conditions. Canada takes inspiration from other regulatory agencies from around the world to create a set of fair trading conditions that are suitable for both brokers as well as traders. Although Canada does not have a centralized regulatory authority for financial entities, the numerous smaller organizations are more than capable of dealing with financial irregularities, and financial malpractice can attract strict sanctions and substantial penalties.

To enter a Double Top trade, you would need to see the price breaking through the level of the bottom that is located between the two tops of the pattern. When the price breaks the bottom between the two tops, you can short the Forex pair, pursuing a minimum price move equal to the vertical size of the pattern measured starting from the level of the two tops to the bottom between the two tops.

The image below on the left is an ascending triangle, each down cycle is a consolidation and retracement. Buyers keep coming in until the top resistance is broken. Eventually the pair breaks out to the upside, in the context of an overall uptrend on the higher time frames. This can occur on small or large time frames. Ascending triangles occur frequently in a trending market and signal a trend continuation to the upside. Overall trend direction on the higher time frames is up. Breakout point and price alert point is just above the resistance.

Bitcoin can be traded in the USA through a number of different methods. If you’re looking to trade Bitcoin by using an investment vehicle, such as a CFD, which is as previously stated a contract for difference, you can do so on eToro. When buying a CFD on eToro, you’re not actually buying Bitcoin itself, rather only its price value, so it can be deemed in many cases, a more efficient vehicle for trading than simply purchasing the asset itself.

This gentleman founded the White Pines Trust Corporation in San Diego, California in July 2000. Talkative and persuasive, Mr. Matthews was an able marketer in spite of his lack of understanding in the currency trading business. Through various schemes, promises and profit pledges, he was able to pool more than $30 million of client deposits into his pockets, which he then used to acquire a 12-acre island off the coast of Belize.

John Novak made it a personal goal to solve this problem and to see how effective Fib levels could be in trading. It was a major challenge that he and business partner (and wife) Melinda of Nexgen Software Systems sought to overcome. More than four years and a number of different program versions later, they finalized the solution. It was the program they called the T-3 Fibs Accumulator that automatically identified and plotted significant Fibonacci levels using 40 different time frames and major pivot points from each (see Figure 1). These confluence levels allowed traders to see where a stock, future, commodity or currency had the greatest probability of pausing or reversing on intraday charts.

Minimize costs. Brokerage fees can undermine your returns. This is especially true if you participate in day trading. Day traders quickly buy and sell stocks throughout the day. They hold the stocks for less than one day, sometimes for only seconds or minutes, looking for opportunities to make quick profits. Day trading or any strategy in which you are frequently buying and selling your securities can get expensive. For every transaction, you may be charged transaction fees, investment fees and trading activity fees. These fees add up quickly and can significantly cut into your losses.[24][25][26][27]
There are two different types of moving averages that are used most commonly; these are the simple moving average, or SMA, which makes simple averages of securities over a specifically defined amount of time periods, and the exponential moving average, or EMA, which uses a formula that gives additional weight to the most recent prices. Moving averages, or MAs, are commonly used to identify the directions of trends, as well as determining the level of resistance and support.

There are multiple trading methods all using patterns in price to find entries and stop levels. Forex chart patterns, which include the head and shoulders as well as triangles, provide entries, stops and profit targets in a pattern that can be easily seen. The engulfing candlestick pattern provides insight into trend reversal and potential participation in that trend with a defined entry and stop level.

When you're making trades in the forex market, you're basically buying or selling the currency of a particular country. But there's no physical exchange of money from one hand to another. That's contrary to what happens at a foreign exchange kiosk—think of a tourist visiting Times Square in New York City from Japan. He may be converting his (physical) yen to actual U.S. dollar cash (and may be charged a commission fee to do so) so he can spend his money while he's traveling.

Generally, when it comes to choosing a name for a business, it is expected that you should be creative because whatever name you choose for your business will go a long way to create a perception of what the business represents. Usually it is the norm for people to follow the trend in the industry they intend operating from when naming their business.
